As much as I sometimes hate cell phones, the camera on mine comes in handy when I am wandering around. I was trout fishing last spring on the new Delayed Harvest section of the Watauga River below Sugar Grove NC and noticed an abandoned house on the other side of the Old Watauga River Road. I liked the composition of the house, gravel road, trees, shadows and sky and took some pictures for reference, but they sat on my phone for several months before I remembered them. I decided a while back to give the painting a try and just finished it. I call it "No Trespassing" because of the sign nailed to the front of the house.

I am currently building a new website on Weebly that will allow me to update new offerings as they are available and to keep you informed of what I am currently working on via a blog. The blog will be available on the website but also shared on my Wood Be Retired FaceBook page. The website is currently not under the woodberetired.com domain, but feel free to have a look while I am developing it.
